Climate change isn’t just environmental, it’s a direct threat to human safety. Rising seas, extreme weather, and collapsing ecosystems risk displacing millions, creating a new wave of homelessness. Yet the crisis often feels too vast for individuals to act. Shelter recognises the biggest housing crisis of all: the potential eviction from our planet.

According to the world bank, by 2050, climate change could displace 216 million people, triggering a housing crisis on a scale never seen before.

Shelter’s Climate Week campaign reimagines home to include the planet, delivering a series of touch points that make the dangers of climate feel urgent, and on the doorstep, but also give clear insight into how small habits can have big change, if we act together.
